Jan & Feb Wrap Up

First book of the year (and decade!) was Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher, which has been on my Kindle for far too long. I then read My Best Friend’s Exorcism by Grady Hendrix which I’d owned a physical copy of for a couple of years. Just before the month was up I finished Bookshop Girl in Paris by Chloe Coles which I’ve already made a post about (spoiler: it was a delight).

In February I read and loved All The Lonely People by David Owen which came as no surprise after how great The Fallen Children was. The storyline flowed well and kept my interest throughout. That, and my next read Meat Market by Juno Dawson both received 5 stars. Both absolutely wonderful books. Next up was Dear, Amy by Helen Callaghan which I wasn’t a big fan of. What I was a big fan of, however, was The Last by Hanna Jameson. No doubt the best book I’ve read in a long time. The last 3 books I read this month were The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell, Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris, and The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Coincidentally I gave them all 3 stars.

I started reading Juliet Takes a Breath by Gabby Rivera but haven’t quite finished it yet, and also purchased the paperback of Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig.
